3 FREE BROAD SAND PUBLIC BEACHES. Clean, Clear & Family Friendly... Walk to Brewster Beach in 10 minutes away, Albee Beach is 20 minutes & Carry Beach is 30 minutes by foot, but most prefer to bring the car for convenience.
Local Walks: Spectacular Regional Hikes all around us… Because we are in the mountains and on this gorgeous lake, places like Tumble Down Dick, Bald Knob, Rattlesnake Mt and Mt. Major are all relatively short hikes. Abenaki Fire Tower - Climb one of the last remaining Historic Fire Towers for a spectacular 360 view of the lake and mountains (30 minutes away and 10 minutes to the top). If you are an aggressive hiker and want an out of body experience, consider some of our larger presidential mountains (Mt. Washington, Mt. Lafayette, Cannon Mt). Click Large Mountains for options (don’t forget a milkshake on the veranda at the Historical Mt. Washington Grand Hotel).
BIKING: Free adult-sized loaner bikes. Bridge Falls path - downtown Train Station to Albee Beach on Lake Wentworth (and beyond). Sewall Road (starts next to the Wolfeboro Inn) along the lake is a nice ride past 19th-century lakefront masterpiece homes. You might also consider the Profile Trail from the base of Cannon Mt to the Flume (about an hour and a half drive, but WELL worth it.) There are some wonderful bike rides around here… or see Rails-Trails novice rides… but for additional information on a whole different level, I would check in with Nordic Skiier in town for the best routes. Or go online to see about the many exhilarating Mountain Biking Opportunities.
We have FREE LOANER KAYAKS to explore the canals, streams, and other waterways, but Fishermen and our boaters love the fact that rentals, equipment and free launches (Mast Landing, Back Bay, Front Bay) are only 5 minutes away. We have a couple of marinas just a short distance away (Goodhue & Hawkins Navy Yard, Corinthian Yacht Club) that rent slips for about $75/day, but most of our clients simply keep their boats on the trailer and launch it for free at any of the local free launches when they want to go out on the lakes. Rent Standup Paddle Boards & Canoes, Jetskis, Sailboats, Rafts, Tubes, etc. See Lake Winnipesaukee's islands aboard the Sophie C Mailboat, Take an antique speed boat ride aboard the Millie B, or Cruise to all 5 ports aboard The Mt. Washington

Or, take a walk through small Towns & Villages that make up this beautiful area. Walking tours allow you to get to know how the area came to be and are one of the best ways to get to know the extensive history behind this New England area!
